Drivers keep attacking Wet’suwet’en protestors and the videos are shocking

Spread the love

Horrific videos have recently emerged of drivers running down Wet’suwet’en pipeline protestors across Canada, and it’s the type of thing that you have to see to believe.

It’s no secret that the Wet’suwet’en protests are controversial; the railway blockades have disrupted travel for thousands of frustrated commuters and tensions are running high after 1,000 Canadians lost their jobs at Via Rail on Wednesday afternoon.

Still, there’s no excuse to endanger human lives — and yet, some drivers are doing exactly that.

On February 8, a blue car rammed into a group of protestors in Regina on the St Albert bridge.

Although thankfully nobody was injured, the car was driving at a frightening speed.

According to eye-witnesses, two other vehicles attempted to plow down pipeline protestors throughout the day, including this large black truck.

And it’s not just drivers in Regina that are actively endangering pedestrians — this semi-truck in Manitoba similarly gunned through a blockade.

And this semi-truck came careening around a slippery corner, nearly crashing into the group of protestors.

One driver even posted a video of themselves illegally driving against the flow of traffic, blasting loud music.

The pedestrian in the video is forced to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the vehicle.

Even more disturbingly, many of the comments under the video have been positive; people are congratulating the driver, calling them a “modern day hero” and “a courageous Canadian.”

Trudeau met with cabinet ministers this morningto find a solution to the Wet’suwet’en rail blockades, so hopefully the situation will be resolved soon — preferably before a pedestrian is actually hit.
