Canada just announced they’ll be suspending all travel from all around the world . The new rules take effect starting this Monday and will last for a minimum of 30 days.
Travel restrictions will include all travel around the world because of Coronavirus, starting March 16 .
The announcement was made this morning by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself .
Trudeau said during a press conference outside of his home where he’s in self-isolation.
He also said that a full travel ban has been ruled out and will make decisions based on science and the advice of healthcare professionals.
The news could cause a ripple effect for travel to and from Canada. Air Canada had already announced a suspension of all flights and this cause the entire continent to be added to the travel ban list.
The World Health Organization also declared the novel coronavirus a worldwide pandemic.
