Canada is a beautiful, vast country, and so many of us have not visited as much of our homeland as we would like. Luckily for travellers on a budget, Flair Airlines’ Go Travel Pass offers unlimited flights to a number of Canadian cities, and it’s all for less than $500. If you’re a little strapped for cash, but still want to explore the True North, here’s a look at where you could venture with your unlimited flight pass.
Earlier this month, discount flight company Flair Airlines introduced their brand new travel pass, which allows passengers to take unlimited flights to destinations across Canada.
For just $499, Canadians can head to British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta, without having to pay a penny extra for the base fares on the flights.
Once a pass has been purchased, travellers are only responsible for taxes and airport fees, and additional baggage costs if required.
So, if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to explore some of Canada’s most-loved cities, here it is.
From Vancouver to Toronto, or Calgary to Winnipeg, here are seven awe-inspiring Canuck destinations you could visit in 2020, all for less than $500.
Beautiful Vancouver is the heart of British Columbia, and it’s got everything you could want from a pretty city getaway.
It’s got mountains, delicious cuisine, a thriving art and theatre scene, and the most gorgeous cityscapes and scenery for those picture-perfect Instagram photos.
The region has so many fun and free things to do, so it’s ideal if you want to keep costs down while using your super cheap flight pass!
While you’re in B.C., why not check out Abbotsford?
On the official tourism website, the region is described as, “Where the city turns into the countryside,” and it’s not hard to see why.
You’ll be able to find hikes, biking adventures, helicopter tours and canoeing and kayaking. Where better to celebrate the beginning of spring?!
If you want to continue your tour of Canada’s west, you could take a free flight over to Kelowna, located in the south of the province.
The city sits in the Okanagan Valley, on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, which is as dreamy as it sounds in real life!
Kelowna has several provincial parks, vineyards, orchards, mountains and pine forests, and it’s the most idyllic spot for getting back-to-basics with Mother Nature.
If Alberta has always been on your bucket list, where better to start than the capital of the province?
Home to the biggest shopping mall in North America, as well as a waterpark, a zoo, several museums and art galleries, and so many good places to eat, this is the city break of all city breaks!
As well as shopping and dining, visitors can enjoy hiking, skating and even skiing in the city, making it the best one-stop-shop to explore in the area.
If you’re making a stop in Edmonton, you can’t ignore the West’s other major city, Calgary!
Between visiting the Calgary Tower, and seeing the local amusement park and zoo, you’ll have to make time to check out the city’s best escape rooms.
There’s also a number of brilliant things to do if you’re on a budget or trying to keep costs down, many of which are absolutely free.
When you’re finished exploring Alberta and B.C., how about a trip to Manitoba?
After flying into Winnipeg, you can stop in the centre and enjoy all that the city has to offer.
Alternatively, you could take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Churchill, otherwise known as “the polar bear capital of the world.”
Here, you can get up-close-and-personal with polar bears, as well as beluga whales, and witness the aurora borealis at its finest!
As the most popular tourist destination in the country, it’s no surprise that Toronto is on many Canadians’ bucket list. It’s the biggest city in Canada and is actually the 29th most visited in the world.
Toronto has a little bit of everything to keep you busy for way longer than a weekend.
The GTA is filled with museums, art galleries, incredible Airbnbs, world-class restaurants, as well as a number of activities that are unique to the city.
Sports lovers will be able to explore the Hockey Hall of Fame, while animal-enthusiasts can cuddle up in the Toe Beans Cat Cafe with the region’s most lovable kitties.
